What services does recess heroes offer?

what measures do you take to ensure safety in your programs?

Safety is our top priority at Recess Heroes. All our staff are trained in first aid and emergency response, and we maintain strict child-to-supervisor ratios to ensure personal attention and safety. Our facilities and equipment are regularly inspected and updated to meet safety standards.

can parents volunteer or get involved with activities?

Absolutely! We encourage parents to get involved with their child's activities. There are many opportunities for parents to volunteer and participate in special events and daily activities. Please contact us to find out how you can join.

How do you determine the price of a recess program?

Program pricing is based on several factors, including the number of students served, the length and frequency of service, the number of staff needed, and any specialized programming or customization. We work closely with each school to build a tailored, cost-effective plan that fits their needs and budget. For a detailed quote, we’d be happy to schedule a consultation.

once the school year starts, who manages the recess staff?

Once programming begins, our onsite Recess Team Leads manage daily staff operations. They are supported by Regional Coaches who provide oversight, training, and coordination with school administration to ensure smooth operations and high-quality programming.

How are your coaches trained?

All Recess Heroes coaches undergo a multi-step onboarding process that includes CPR/First Aid certification, child engagement strategies, conflict resolution, and safety protocols. Training is ongoing and includes quarterly professional development sessions and site visits from Regional Coaches to support continuous improvement.

what happens if one of the coaches doesn't show up?

We take attendance very seriously. Coaches are required to notify both their Team Lead and Regional Coach at least 48 hours in advance for planned absences, or 1–2 hours in the case of emergencies. If a coach fails to show without proper notification, it triggers our 3-strike disciplinary policy. For coverage, we maintain a reliable on-call pool to ensure no disruption in programming and student supervision.
